Student Awards

Each year, the Association of Public Sector Information Professionals (DPI) supports worthy students from universities, community colleges and CEGEP who represent the future of the profession and exemplify the DPI mantra of “taking care of business, people and technology”.  DPI currently supports the following educational institutions:

  • Algonquin College
  • Carleton University
  • CÉGEP de l’Outaouais
  • Heritage College
  • La Cité Collégiale
  • The University of Ottawa

Each year, faculty from each institution selects a full-time student finishing their second year of a three year informatics program that has demonstrated commitment to their studies (marks and attendance), their future profession (job experience and general attitude) and their fellow students (participation and willingness to assist).  The chosen students then each receive a $1,000 student award from DPI.
