Seminar Outline:

Communicate to Influence the TED way

The current COVID crisis and our ever-evolving virtual workspace has created a greater than ever need for effective communication skills. Communication skills are now one of the most sought -after attributes in jobpostings, even more than leadership skills. But many still see this as a “soft skill”. It’s not. Learning to communicate effectively through the “Zoom” or any virtual platform is now considered an essential skill. Yet, most people don’t have tons of time to develop this skill to the level they need to stay competitive and stand out. Using TED-style storytelling and speaking skills is a proven way to elevate your communication skills to the level needed to influence, lead and stand out from any platform, virtual or if we ever get to do it again – in person.

Speaker:

Teri Kingston | Director/Founder, Real Impact Speaking

Teri Kingston is a Certified Speaking Coach and TEDx Speaker Coach. In 2008 she received her Distinguished Toastmaster accreditation. She is a prize-winning speaker and a member of the Canadian Association of Professional Speakers Association.

Through her business, Real Impact Speaking, she helps to amplify presentation skills using TED-style storytelling techniques. Teri understands how to help speakers discover, design and develop their best talks. Using the TED way is Teri 's key to helping people get their valuable perspectives and ideas out into the world in a way that will truly resonate with their audiences every time they step out on stage.
