Managing Data More Effectively For Public Good

As Government institutions push forward with their digital transformation agendas, effective data management continues to play a foundational role.  Join us for an exciting presentation leveraging Gartner research, as Paul Haskins presents a perspective on the need to better manage our data for the public good and the tools and practices that will enable us to take the next steps in data driven decision making.

Speaker:

Paul Haskins, Vice President Data & Analytics, Gartner

Paul Haskins is excited about the potential impact that Data has for our business and personal lives. “After years of simply recording workplace activity and making sense of scant data we can finally model our environment and make objective decisions based on predictions and simulations, informed by emergent decision models”.  Paul has worked in the Canadian Public Sector since 2004, and enjoys the challenge of advancing data maturity with all his clients. His recent projects have seen the use of formal Information Valuation techniques, designs for Data Science Pipelines and guidance on Machine Learning and Advanced Analytics and strategies for improved Data Management.

Paul is currently the Gartner Vice President responsible for the Data & Analytics consulting practice in North America.
