Using the F-Word @ Work: Understanding Emotional Culture

Using the F-Word @ Work: Understanding Emotional Culture

January 17, 10:00 - 11:30 am ET

Free virtual seminar, open to DPI affiliates

Emotions are central to building the right culture and employee experiences. Emotional culture influences employee satisfaction, motivation, connection, engagement, burnout, teamwork, and even “hard” measures such as financial performance, absenteeism, and turnover.

Behavioural science shows us that emotion drives behaviour. If you want people to act and behave a certain way – you must ask first how they need to feel to do so. Then build a workplace culture that supports those feelings.

In this taste of emotional culture, you will:

  • Learn the impact of emotions in the workplace
  • Explore how you want your team to feel (and not feel) at work
  • Take away a simple way to facilitate impactful and meaningful team check-ins around feelings

Now’s the time to bring more humanity into the workplace.

Meet the Speaker

Renée Eaton, Emotional Culture Specialist | Founder

Most people just want to do good work with good people. I believe people and organizations should be filled with passion and excitement. For the past 15 years, I have made this my purpose when training and consulting organizations and individuals in team building, leadership, culture, communication, and change.

I know that when people are given new information, they are able to look at their business practices with creativity and fresh insight. I’m driven to help bring more of what makes us human into workplaces – connection, enthusiasm, compassion, and joy.
